Take a breath

A few decades ago, I was born.
A few years ago, I started practising jiu-jitsu.
A few months ago, I quit my job to freelance.
A few weeks ago, I bought a house.
A few days ago, I sold an apartment.
A few hours ago, I sat down to breath.
A few minutes ago, I cooked some healthy food.
A few seconds ago, I took another breath.
There are so many things happening in your life and the life of everyone else. Things are happening in a pace that is hard to grasp. Sometimes hours feel like seconds and years like minutes. Sometimes seconds feel like hours and minutes like years.
But as life spins on and on, it's easy to lose one's foothold. Where am I? Who am I? What am I doing here? What is happening in my life?
As we fall freely into the void of time, commitments and events, we sometimes lose ourselves. And that's fine. But we need to be able to catch ourselves falling, identify our pattern of thoughts, and come back to the present moment.
The past is no longer and the future is nothing but a mirage projected from what is known as today. All you and I have is now. Nothing else.
When things are moving a bit too fast around you. Take a breath.
